From January 13 – 17 we have organized Georgian Week at the University of Cologne,
The week included a Georgian book exhibition at the Cologne City and University Library, an international exhibition “Georgian Stories” at Info-Cafe-International, Georgian themed night and the workshop evening about Georgian calligraphy with a presentation “Georgia – a Tourist Destination,” and Georgian cuisine at the central cafeteria of the University of Cologne.
The Georgian Week was a pure success, it was covered by many news agencies and a live interview with the Georgian Association. During the week we have welcomed over 200 guests and shared our culture with them.
The week was supported by the International Office of the University of Cologne and the Students Service Cologne.
The exhibition “Georgian Stories” was supported by the curator of the Tbilisi Kolga Photo Festival, Teona Gogichaishvili; the photojournalist and professor at the Dortmund University, Dirk Gebhardt; Consulate General of Georgia in Frankfurt and the Embassy of Georgia in Berlin.
Thank you all for the support, for being there and for standing with us. We are truly humbled by the whole experience.
